Should I Go Back To My Ex?

Hello Lovely,
I have had a few people asking me, “Should I go back to my ex?”, so I’m going to respond publicly.

Several years ago, my answer would have been a flat out “No!”, but view has since changed. Looking back, I was in a space in my journey where I was really deep in learning self love and true identity, so I was not expanded enough to understand collaboration or partnership.

I was in a space of being more “selfish” (see post “When 1 becomes 2 and 2 become one”) and not able to comprehend expansion and healing with another human and all their stories and life experience.

I have been seeing in the last few years how these Divine Partnerships are paving the way for relationships of the future. Therefore, they do not look like “normal”. They are not logical. And those who are in them, know this, in the depths of their hearts.

All this being said, I believe there are times when it is actually a good idea to go back to an ex.

However, some very raw and honest self-reflection is absolutely necessary.

Am I going back just because I don’t want to be alone/feel lonely?

Have I had enough space away to heal and remember that my life is really good, all by myself?

What were the reasons we broke up?

Have we both had growth in those areas?

Can we agree on the plan, moving into a healthier dynamic?

Do we both see and agree to the vision for this relationship?

Have we both openly and unapologetically declared what our standards/needs are?

Are we able to meet those standards together?

These Divine Partnerships are really, really challenging, because we can see how the surface level, functionality of “normal” relationships just does NOT work here.

Divine Partnerships make the ego want to run, and challenges us to open our hearts wider than ever before. This can be extremely painful, because the ego feels really, really threatened.

At the end of the day, your heart knows what it knows.

“Should I go back to my ex?”
