What Is Self Love?

The Needs & Desires of the Heart

what is self love

Hello Lovely,
I am asking the question “What is Self Love?” today because I see confusion and mis-information among women around self love and self care.

Self love and self care are not one and the same.

Self love is not taking a bath with rose petals, buying yourself flowers, or getting your nails done.

That’s self care.

Self care supports and emboldens self love, but it is not the same.

Self care is usually very outwardly and obvious. Someone watching you can see all the things you are doing for yourself.

Self care makes you feel good, feel important, feel cared for.

Self love, more often than not, is very subtle. It is often very inward.

Self love is choosing your raw, real Truth, in every moment, no matter what.

Self love is having very honest and vulnerable conversations with yourself.

Self love is learning how to love being with yourself.

Self love is making the choice, over and over again, to stop looking outside yourself at what’s “wrong” and choosing to work on yourself, instead.

Self love is pulling your energy away from what you don’t like, and putting it back into what you want to see more of.

Self love is creating boundaries and having the backbone to uphold them, unapologetically.

Self love is prioritizing healing and calm.

Self love is validating yourself instead of shaming or minimizing your experience.

Self love is going into your darkness, to bring yourself back into the light.

Self love is self parenting.

Self love is self soothing and self tenderness.

Self love is radical self acceptance.

These are things that are not necessarily seen with human eyes.

Self love is an inside job.

Self love is a moment by moment intimacy with yourself.

Self love is a moment by moment creation of a life that feels aligned, meaningful, satisfying, and calm.

Self love becomes really simple once you allow yourself to feel and start identifying with energies, instead of thinking your way through everything. (overthinking is so heavy and exhausting!)

It’s living life by feeling from your heart, instead of thinking with your head.

Living a life that you love is not through doing all the things that you “should” or are “supposed to do” or that “make sense”.

A life that you love is found through self love.

What To Know When You Feel Your Feelings

When the Pain Is Extreme

what to know when you feel the feelings

Hello Lovely,

What to know when you feel your feelings is one of the most important lessons I have had to learn.

I sometimes wonder what my soul was thinking/saying before it signed up for this lifetime.

There has been so much pain.

So many deep, torturous emotions.

So much prolonged injustice.

So many painful moments that cannot be understood with the limits of the human mind.

So many moments of questioning my ability and capacity of holding this pain.

But all this has brought me to this present moment and the deeply healing and liberating work that I do with women.

I now see that the depth to which one can hold space for another depends completely on the depth of pain that person has experienced.

So today, dear women of the world,

I give you permission.

Right here. Right now.

Allow yourself to feel whatever you are feeling.

Stop running from it.

Stop hiding.

Because when you do run from your feelings, you are denying yourself access to your wholeness.

And when you fully embody your wholeness, you are your most powerful.

When you are whole, you live unapologetically.

You speak your truth vulnerably

And you love recklessly.

You flow in your intuitive wisdom

You inspire your man to step up into his greatness.

You are a queen.

You are a goddess.

You are a warrior.

So, today, I give you permission to feel everything.

Embrace all that you are—the wild, chaotic, and seemingly destructive emotions.

Embrace, integrate, and find your wholeness.

Because when you are whole, you are free.

And when you are free, you are unstoppable.

Lovingly,
Suze

What To Do When You Feel Lonely

Nothing Is Missing

what to do when you feel lonely

Hello, Lovely,
In my little corner of the world, a lot of women are choosing to leave relationships that are no longer aligned with them. Sometimes, being single can feel lonely, so knowing what to do when you feel lonely can be really empowering on your journey of Truth and authenticity.

We cannot have the man that we want come into our lives until we learn to be that person for ourselves first.

We must create crystal clear clarity on what we actually want to be able to intentionally call it in.

We must learn how to give ourselves exactly what we need, in order to realize that we are not missing anything.

We have everything we need, already existing inside. We just need to remember!

So, what to do when you feel lonely, is to dig a little deeper…

  1. Realize that feeling lonely means that you *think* you are needing attention from an outside source. You *think* that you need someone else to be paying attention to you.
  2. Get more specific on the attention piece…am I feeling misunderstood? Or undervalued? Or unseen?
  3. Once you identify what you are “missing”, get creative on taking care of this need, all by yourself. Become your own best friend.
  4. FEEL that you are in a relationship with yourself, and treat yourself as if you were dating yourself! We get so fixated on how we show up for others in our relationships, but we don’t extend the same love to ourselves!

You are never alone. You are a multi-faceted being and learning to bring your entire being into harmony creates a feeling of being perfectly whole and complete, all on your own, lacking NOTHING!

This is what to do when you feel lonely.

Realizing that you aren’t missing anything is the goal.

And this is the magic spot that will attract in the relationship you desire!
