Why does life feel like a huge struggle?
I have asked myself that question so many times.
I have screamed while asking that question.
I have cried while asking that question.
If there is anyone who understands a life of struggle, it’s me.
From the moment I was conceived, I was fighting for my life. Literally.
If you knew my full story from conception to present day, you would hear insane amounts of struggle.
There have been moments in my life where I clearly could see that the only reason was I was still alive, was because I had a purpose that I had not yet fulfilled.
Struggle.
Desperation.
Rock bottom.
You name it. I know it well.
Why does life feel like a huge struggle?
After years of trying to find the answer, another question hit me hard.
What if life is a struggle because you are trying to fit into a life that is too small?
There’s something else I can really relate to–trying to fit into clothes that don’t fit.
When was the last time you tried to fit into a cute pair of jeans that were just not quite right, or maybe you were trying to have them suck you in a bit to try to slim you?
Was it a struggle?
Or maybe a pair of shoes that weren’t cut quite right for your feet?
Struggle?
What if we were meant to build lives that were big enough to support all of us?
What if we are settling for lives that are not strong enough or big enough to hold all that we have to offer to the world?
What if it isn’t about us trying to support our dreams, but rather, allowing our big dreams to support us?
