Why Affirmations Don’t Always Work

Having someone tell you “you are worthy” is not going to work for some of us.

 

Telling yourself over and over again “I am worthy” is not going to work for some of us either.

 

Because some of us have a story where we were endlessly shamed, wrongfully punished, had everything taken away, were severely neglected, and were constantly told that we were expected to do better.

 

Some of us girls didn’t have a father who treated us like princesses (or anything remotely close to that).

Some of us girls didn’t have a mother to give us unconditional love.

I am not blaming parents. That is only disempowering ourselves.

 

I am validating your experience and holding space for you.

 

I know what it takes to re-write abusive stories that are held in your body.

 

I know what it takes to learn to feel energies & feelings that you have never felt before.

 

Because I was you. And I want to tell you, that the other side of the mountain is epic. More epic than you probably can imagine, in this moment.

 

You have to learn to shift your focus OUT of your mind, and into your heart space.

 

You have to learn to validate (self Love) your emotional experience (heart space) and THEN you can bring the mind along for the ride.

 

This is another example of learning inner union—healing & activating both your inner masculine & inner feminine energies.

 

Affirmations are mental = masculine

 

Feelings and energies = feminine

 

BOTH are needed. You cannot have the full shift into worthiness and a new reality without both.

 

FEELING your self worth in your body, and knowing the odds you overcame to get there is EPIC.
