This week, we are talking about being open to receive, which is very close to last week’s topic…softness and surrender.
 
I already wrote in the coaching post about the how to get the physical body in the space of being open to receive, so for the tip of the day, let’s go deeper into the idea of allowing yourself to get “messy”. (Click here to read the coaching post, to know what I am referring to.)
 
As you think over your day, pick something that you can allow yourself to get “messy” about.
 
What are you going to stop being “perfect” with?
 
Where are you willing to experiment and try to do something in a different way?
 
Or maybe, what are you allowing someone else to take over for you, and you will NOT dictate HOW it is done?
 
If we want change in our lives, we must be willing to try to do it a different way. 
 
We must be open to the idea that something can get done a different way, and it is ok.
 
We must be see that maybe there is a BETTER way that we haven’t yet figured out, so we need to try all the options to see what is ACTUALLY the better way! ( When I say “better”, I mean that it is better for YOU…more authentically YOU). 
 
In the beginning stages of allowing yourself to get “messy” with your life, keep it simple. 
 
Maybe take a different route to work.
 
Maybe allow someone else to do the dishes.
 
Maybe do your hair/get dressed/do your makeup in a totally different way than you have before.
 
Just do SOMETHING different today and see how it feels. See what happens.
 
There is NO getting it wrong. 
 
You are experimenting.
 
You are living.
 
You are learning what actually feels GOOD to you.

Open To Receive

Receive Your Heart's Desires

Being open to receive is a state of being that is a cornerstone of feminine energy.
 
But receiving is a lot harder than it may seem, for some of us. 
 
I wrote about this in my public blog today, “3 Reasons Why It Is Hard To Receive”
 
In the 3 reasons, I talked about the need for healing both your masculine and feminine energies and referenced 2 other public blogs, “The Wounded Masculine & The Awakened Masculine”, and “The Wounded Feminine & The Awakened Feminine”
 
But let’s get deeper here in The Love Nest into the state of receiving. 
 
We have been conditioned in this lifetime that we need to work hard to make our lives turn out the way we want them to.
 
We have to give, to sacrifice, to do, in order to achieve the life we think we want. 
 
But for those of us on the feminine journey, we are choosing to no longer allow the things that feel heavy, hard, and exhausting. We want lives that feel really good, blissful, light, flowing, and free. 
 
To access a life that feels like that, we must learn to let go, lean back, and receive.
 
All that we desire is right there–we just have to allow it to flow in.
 
We must remove the blockages that are not allowing us to receive. 
 
In allowing this state of being, we are able to relax into our lives and our relationships. 
 
Our men then have the space to step forward and show up with the masculinity that we desire. This was a huge shift for me. After my marriage ended, I knew that my next relationship dynamic was going to be very different. I was very clear that I wanted a man who would take the lead and be powerful in his masculinity. I wanted him to be the one to figure the things out, plan the things, do the things, fix the things. 
 
What I have learned is that in order for a man to show up in that way, I must be totally open to receive his ideas, his perspectives, and his possibilities. I must let go of the “need” to control every little thing. 
 
Perfectionism had to go to allow relaxation and ease.
 
Why?
 
Because you must be relaxed to allow yourself to be open.
 
You cannot receive a gift with clenched, closed fists. You must relax and open your hands to receive a gift. 
 
You cannot be close-minded about how something is “supposed” to look or be done, if you are to receive the gifts that the man wants to give. 
 
Masculine men DESIRE to give, to make us happy, to fix, to do. 
 
We must allow them to give. 
 
We must stop blocking them from this giving. 
 
We must learn to be open to receive.
 
This also applies to our lives, in general. If you are here, you probably share my beliefs around spirituality and Universe/Source/God/Love. 
 
In developing a state of being open to receive, we are deepening our connection to Universe/Source/God/Love.
 
Being open to receive means that we trust that everything is working out for us and that we surrender and receive the gifts. 
 
We look for the gifts and lessons when things feel challenging.
 
We turn these moments into empowerment.
 
This empowerment then opens us up to receive even more. 
 
We choose the life we want, by deciding how we want our lives to FEEL, and then aligning with those energies.
 
From the alignment, our physical reality aligns up with our inner state of being.
 
We receive the physical manifestations and blessings that we desire. 
 
So now that I have shown you that being open to receive is the most magical state to be in, let me leave you with step 1 in learning to be open.
 
You must relax.
 
I know, I know…telling someone they need to relax is psychologically counteractive. 
 
Start with your physical body, because feeling anything in your physical body first makes it easier to translate into the metaphysical world. 
 
Take breaks in your day to open your hands and spread your fingers wide. Unclench your jaw. Pull your shoulders straight back and notice how it opens your chest/heart. Lift your gaze to the heavens, and spread your arms open wide.
 
Breathe deeply with all parts of your body open. 
 
You can also practice open body and relaxation by lying in your bed, and intentionally relaxing every fiber of your being. Really feel your bed underneath you and develop a sense of “melting” into your bed. Notice how it feels like you are releasing energy that is weighing you down.
 
This is how it feels to be open to receive.
 
Bring these feelings into your life. Let go of controlling every little thing and “needing” everything to be perfect. 
 
Release the “need” to “get it right.” 
 
Allow yourself to get messy and just sit back and see what happens.

Softness & Surrender

The Art of Being A Woman

We must deeply understand what it means to surrender and be soft, if we desire to feel powerful and peaceful in our lives and decisions. 
 

We must embody the art of softness & surrender in order to open our vision to see possibilities that we hadn’t seen before.

We must allow softness & surrender to become the new habit that empowers us to create our lives, instead of reacting to them. 

We must soften into the pain to be able to release it and feel the power in acknowledging it and choosing to let it go. 

It is in all this CHOOSING to soften and surrender, instead of reacting in the old, coping mechanisms that we start to feel our power. 

So, putting it really simply, what it is means to surrender is this…

Surrender is the art of learning to be at peace with what currently is, while still knowing where you are going. 

Surrender means that you accept what you currently see with your human eyes. 

You do not run or hide from the reality of it.

You do not give in to coping mechanisms that you picked up from a lower self awareness. 

You soften into the pain that you might be experiencing in the present moment.

You know that there is a secret gift somewhere in it, that you want to uncover. 

This gift is deeper self awareness, self love, self acceptance, self empowerment. 

But to access this…first, softness & surrender.

Surrender to what is. Stop fighting. Stop resisting. Stop your survival mode.  

Then comes step two…

Know where you are going.

Look beyond what currently know. Rest assured in knowing that your current scenario is simply old energy that is manifesting. 

You are no longer in this place. You are energetically in another state, and you are simply waiting for the human experience to catch up with your actual energetic state. 

Don’t be fooled by what your human eyes or human mind is telling you about the present moment. 

Soften & surrender to it. Accept it, and then shift your focus to where you are going.

It is coming.

Hold the faith.

Hold the higher energy.

Hold the patience. 

The softness & surrender will allow you to either be inspired by a new possibility that you had not seen before, or you will attract in a new opportunity that was never available to you before, in your lower state of reaction. 

The better life is unfolding for you. Soften into the process.

Relax your tight grip on timelines.

Soften.

Surrender.

Feel.

Become the higher You.

I am on a theme of softness and surrender in my blogs and groups lately, so let’s carry that theme over into our feminine energy tip of the day here!
 
Being soft can feel like the hardest thing in the world sometimes.
 
I was just writing in my FB group, Inhale Love, about how women are capable of navigating enormous amounts of pain, physically and emotionally. 
 
We are masters at resilience, perseverance, and ingenuity. 
 
But this usually results in a loss of self and softness. 
 
We become rigid and tense, closed down, protective, defensive, anxiety-ridden, depressed, exhausted, and lost. 
 
Coming back to our softness can feel very challenging and scary.
 
I am here today, holding holding your hand, standing by your side, gently encouraging you to let go of this burden.
 
Feel the ground underneath you. Feel it holding you, supporting you, reminding you that it is ok to let go of the stress. 
 
Soften your body. Unclench your jaw. Sway your body and feel how your body feels as it moves gently, sensually, fluidly. 
 
Breath deeply into your heart space. Feel it open up. Lift your heart up to the sky and throw your arms open wide. You are free to let go of this rigidity. Feel the movement of your breath liberating you. 
 
Relax deeply in this moment and use all your senses to fully experience it. 
 
You are safe.
 
You are loved.
 
You are supported.
 
You are free to let go of the weight and soften yourself back up to love.

I just finished writing a new coaching post in this group this morning, titled, “What It Means To Be Present.”
 
So with the intention of diving even deeper into that theme, let’s get into our Feminine Energy Tip of the Day.
 
Being present is foundational work in feminine energy. Feminine energy is movement, flow, and changing, so we must remain present with ourselves in every moment to truly know what we “should” be doing. 
 
(When I say “should”, please know that I am talking about “should” from YOUR highest self. NOT the obligated supposed to’s that we pick up from our childhoods or societal standards!)
 
Feminine energy is the opposite of resistance, rigidity, tenseness, and feeling stuck.
 
So, what are you resisting in your day, today?
 
Are there thoughts or feelings that you are shoving aside, that are begging to be seen?
 
Is there a task on your “to-do list” that you don’t really want to do?
 
Why is there resistance here? 
 
What might be possible if we found ease around this resistance?
 
How can we switch the way we are viewing something to find a perspective that feels better?
 
What actually needs to happen to feel empowered, instead of stuck?
 
The more you find ways to shift from resistance and negativity to acceptance and empowerment, the more your life will start changing for the better.

What It Means To Be Present

The Greatest Gift

Last week in my 1:1 coaching client calls, I noticed that there was a some misunderstanding around the concept of what it means to be present.
 
Being present is the greatest gift you can give yourself and those you love, so we must be very clear about what it actually means!


What it means to be present is that you are fully and actively involved in the actual reality of the current moment. This means that you are fully experiencing whatever the current moment is trying to gift to you. 

Why this is such a big gift to yourself, is that it is here that you are able to see yourself. You get to see and acknowledge everything that you are experiencing. 

You get the honor of seeing the thoughts that bubble up and try to distract you with worry, anxiety, and negativity. 

You get to intimately know your “shadows”. 

You get to learn how to best understand and support yourself.

You get to build incredible self trust in seeing yourself and then CHOOSING the direction you actually want to move in. (Creation energy!!!)

Once you have mastered giving yourself this gift, you can extend it to your loved ones, which will make them feel fully seen, heard, important, understood, accepted, connected, and deeply loved.

And isn’t that exactly what we ALL desire to feel in our relationships?

So now that I have made it clear how important presence is, let’s get back to what it means to be present, so we can get into practice around that.

Being present is way more than just sitting on a cushion, meditating. It is bringing the essence of meditation into your daily life!

It is bringing your full attention to the activity that you are choosing. It is stepping outside of the auto-pilot that we tend to get stuck in, when we are doing something that we think requires little focus.

If you are taking a shower, you are feeling the water wash over you; you are listening to the sounds that the water makes; you are feeling the temperature of the water and the air; you are smelling the soap; you are delighting in the bubbles!

If you are driving to work, you are looking around like you have never driven this road before and you are very interested in what you can find on this route. 

If you are playing a game with your kids, your phone and other distractions are away, and you are watching and learning more about your kids and excitedly responding to everything that is going on.  

Living life in this way also means that you are self aware of when it is time for you to take breaks in your day to unplug from the “to-do list”, and go outside and be present with the outdoors. Don’t think. Just sit there and take it all in. 

This last suggestion is really a tough one for a lot of women. We get so tied up in the idea that our worth/value comes from how much we accomplish in a day, and we feel like we have to push so hard to get all the things done. 

This is very masculine energy, and is why it feels so heavy, exhausting, and often makes us feel resentment and dissatisfaction in our lives. Staying present with ourselves and respecting yourself enough to step away for 10 minutes builds self trust, calm, and connection. 

Doing this consistently will also really increase the feeling of being connected to something far greater than just you, and it will be extremely healing and inspiring.

What it means to be present is that you are actually living. 

You are refusing to live a “Groundhog Day.”

You are coming out of auto-pilot.

You are putting an end to overthinking.

You are experiencing all the juiciness that life has to offer.

And it feels so good.

This is living life with flow, ease, freedom, and feminine energy. 

You are a Queen.

You are a Goddess.

You are a Warrior.

It’s time to remember.

Femininity allows and accepts all emotions to flow and be seen. 
 
What emotions, and feelings are you shutting down and not allowing to be acknowledged and accepted?
